28 Oct Kitchen Design and Installation in Bermondsey London
Montana Kitchens is pleased to showcase the completion of a contemporary white handleless kitchen design and installation in Bermondsey London SE1. The client is a London Lifestyle Blogger who had moved into a converted tannery warehouse. The kitchen design and installation were undertaken by Montana Kitchens with the project being in the £10-15K budget range, not including building costs. For this particular kitchen design and installation in Bermondsey, we worked alongside the client’s builder to ensure the compact kitchen had a spacious feel.
Gero Montana, of Montana Kitchen says, “the converted warehouse apartment in Bermondsey was a good size but the kitchen was dated, small and cramped. The client had instructed a builder to create cut a hole in the wall between the kitchen and living room with an over-hanging breakfast bar. Montana Kitchens liaised with the builder to ensure the worktop was properly supported and that it was incorporated into the countertop.”
Gero continues, “the client wanted a minimal white handless kitchen so that it did not look ‘messy’ when you viewed the kitchen from the living room. We recommended the Mereway Trend handless matt white kitchen which the client loved. By keeping the wall units at the same level as the hob extractor fan casing, we achieved a minimal appearance.”
“Montana Kitchens purchased new white goods for the client with a priority on low noise ratings for the washing machine and dishwasher due to the open plan nature of the kitchen. A dark grey matt glass splashback behind the hob was a simple yet stylish touch. The Cemento Spa Silestone Composite Worktop was the perfect choice to complement the white kitchen units. The overall kitchen design met with the client’s brief and vision.”
The client was thrilled with the finished kitchen design and installation, she says:
“I was thrilled with the fantastic kitchen and the work by the Montana Kitchen team. I wanted a clean, minimal, no fuss kitchen and that’s exactly what I got and more. When I viewed the apartment, I loved the architecture and the size of the rooms. However, the kitchen was a let down because it was falling to pieces and looked very cramped. By opening up the wall for a breakfast bar and choosing units without handles, the finished kitchen feels so much larger than it actually is. It is a joy to cook in the kitchen. Gero, Angie and the kitchen fitters were all extremely helpful and accommodating. I would highly recommend Montana Kitchens for kitchen design and kitchen installation in London. Being a small team, you get an excellent service by people who are passionate about what they do!”
